About Us:
Ag-Oil, a green fuel company with its corporate headquarters in Boca Raton, Florida, is developing
a 15 million gallon per year oil production facility in Palm Beach County. The oil
produced will be 100% renewable diesel for direct utilization in diesel engines. Leading-edge
oil producing technologies using high-yielding oilseed crops will
allow the project to outperform conventional oil production facilities. Ag-Oil's plantation, the largest developed pilot jatropha
plantation in the United States, exhibits the latest advancements in jatropha research by demonstrating
proper agricultural practices and showcasing the use of a newly developed mechanical harvester.
While it is anticpated that 15-20,000 acres of jatropha will be grown in south Florida, Ag-Oil has identified reliable,
government approved bulk sources of high yielding oilseed crops such as palm and castor to provide a supplementary source
for the facility's feedstock requirements.
Ag-Oil has spent significant time and resources identifying the most effective farming practices as well as
experimenting with superior, non-toxic strands of jatropha. As such, Ag-Oil is currently developing its own proprietary non-toxic cold tolerant seed.
These developments will play a critical role in helping to establish additional plantations and oil production facilities throughout the state.
Strategic Location:
Currently, there are no oil production facilities in the South Florida area.
Thus, Ago-Oil's location is well-positioned to serve a large area of the state of Florida.
The project is located on 103 acres in Palm Beach County on a site ideally located
for easy access to major transportation routes. The site is situated at the intersection
of two major roads (Atlantic Avenue and US 441/SR 7) in Delray Beach, and is approximately
1.75 miles from the Florida Turnpike and 7 miles from I-95 and the CSX railroad.
The site is also centrally located between two major ports on the eastern coast
of Florida, the Port of Palm Beach and Port Everglades.
